European charging methods:
Mode 1/2/3/4 classification mainly depends on whether the charging pile has communication with the electric vehicle.
Mode1: A charging method that uses plug sockets and charging cables to directly connect the electric vehicle to the AC power grid (power supply). There is no communication between the car and the charging socket, which is now banned in many countries.
Mode2: refers to a portable AC charging pile that is not fixedly installed and has vehicle-to-pile communication;
Mode3: refers to other AC charging piles that are fixedly installed (wall-mounted or column-mounted) with vehicle-to-pile communication.
Mode4: refers specifically to fixedly installed DC piles, which must also have vehicle-to-pile communication.
The United States generally uses Level 1/2/3 to classify;
Level 1/2/3 mainly distinguishes the voltage at the input end of the charging pile.
Level 1: refers to a charging pile that directly uses an American household plug (single-phase) 120V power supply, with a power of 1.4-1.9kW;
Level 2: Refers to the AC charging pile using American household high voltage 208/230V (Europe)/240V, power 3-19.2kW;
Level 3: refers to DC charging pile
