DC EV charger–Fast charging

90 views

DC electric vehicle charging station, commonly known as “fast charging”, is a power supply device that is fixedly installed outside an electric vehicle and connected to the AC power grid. It can provide DC power for off-board electric vehicle power batteries. The input voltage of the DC charging pile adopts three-phase four-wire AC380V±15%, frequency 50Hz, and the output is adjustable DC, which directly charges the power battery of the electric vehicle. Since the DC charging pile uses a three-phase four-wire system for power supply, it can provide sufficient power, and the output voltage and current can be adjusted in a wide range to meet fast charging requirements.

Technical requirements for DC charging station

a) Charging pile power input voltage: three-phase four-wire 380VAC±15%, frequency 50Hz±5%;

b) The charging pile should satisfy the charging object

c) The output of the charging pile is direct current, and the output voltage meets the battery standard requirements of the charging object;

d) The maximum output current meets the charging requirements of the battery standard 1C of the charging object, and is backward compatible;

e) Charging methods are divided into regular and fast charging methods. The normal charging method is 5 hours, and the fast charging method is 1 hour (selected for different battery types);

f) Realize intelligent IC management;

g) Each charging pile comes with its own operator to provide users with charging mode selection and operation guidance, and displays the electric vehicle battery status and user IC card tariff information to achieve unmanned management;

h) The charging pile interface should comply with the relevant regulations on DC charging interfaces in GB Electric Vehicle Conductive Charging Interface (Interim);

i) The communication interface of the charging pile adopts the CAN communication interface, and the communication protocol is implemented in accordance with the provisions of the communication protocol (interim) between the GB electric vehicle battery management system and the off-board charger (the charging object is lithium battery electric vehicles);

j) The charging pile should have corresponding alarm and protection functions for abnormal conditions during the charging process;

k) The charging pile must monitor the status of the battery and automatically adjust the charging curve, charging current, and charging voltage according to the battery’s temperature, voltage, and voltage;
